"That feels good": the slogan for this Franzbranntwein rubbing alcohol, which has been proven effective for over 125 years, is still well known today.
In 1897, a Hungarian pharmacist from the "Diana Pharmacy" discovered the versatile effects of Franzbranntwein rubbing alcohol infused with menthol. The tonic, known under the pharmacy's name, was registered in the Austrian trademark register in 1907, making DIANA one of the oldest brands in the country. The logo features Diana, the Roman goddess of the hunt, with a bow and arrow, symbolizing vitality and a connection to nature. DIANA with menthol is used as a rub for refreshment, after sports, or for muscle tension, providing an invigorating and cooling effect. In 2014, the Austrian company Unipack GmbH, owned by the Burghart family, acquired the brand. In Wiener Neustadt, they produce and package not only the classic Franzbranntwein rubbing alcohol but also a sports balm, shower foam, refreshing wipes, and melissa spirit. The stamp is enhanced with a scented varnish.
