Les Planches: a century of escape and emotion since their creation, the Planches de Deauville have attracted millions of visitors, anonymous people, international personalities and artists, thus becoming a legendary walk. Inspired by the promenade decks of ocean liners, they were designed by the architect Charles Adda (1873-1938) and are listed as historic monuments. This creation, steeped in orientalism and Art Deco, is a wooden promenade lined with 250 cabins, each separated by openwork lists bearing the names of actors and directors honored since 1987 during the Deauville American Cinema Festival.
