2023No To Violance Against Women - Set

This commemorative stamp has been created to make an unmistakable statement. Raising awareness and civil courage are of paramount importance in the fight against violence towards females. Women and girls can be affected by various forms of violence – femicides are just the tip of the iceberg. Around one in three women worldwide becomes a victim of physical, psychological, or sexual violence during their lifetime, with most cases occurring within the family or closest social circle. In Austria, there are numerous support services for those affected, such as violence protection centres, shelters, and women's counselling centres, as well as specific counselling services for men for prevention. Awareness campaigns aim to strengthen problem recognition and civil courage because it's vital not to simply look away but to collectively stand against violence towards women and girls.
