The Museum of Cádiz, in the central Plaza de Mina, has a rich heritage, archaeological, artistic and ethnographic collection. The selection of archaeological materials offers an overview of the history of the city and the province from Prehistory to the 13th century. The collection of Phoenician and Punic objects stands out for its uniqueness and relevance, one of the most important in the world, with the anthropoid sarcophagi at the top. The Fine Arts collection ranges from the end of the European Middle Ages to some of the artistic trends of the 20th century.
