The stamp depicts a woman wearing Belarusian national clothes - you can see such traditional elements as a skirt (called spadnitsa), an apron, a long-sleeved T-shirt with sleeves and a collar embroidered with traditional, ritually significant patterns, and hair hidden under a cottage. The Belarusian national costume clothing complex is believed to have originated in the Middle Ages. He was influenced by the "neighboring" cultures - Russians, Ukrainians, Lithuanians, Poles, as well as the European fashion of that time. Costumes differed according to a person’s social status, place of residence (village or city). There are more than 30 different variants of the national costume. To this day, the true national costume is considered to be the costume of the villagers, which has preserved the features of authenticity and identity, the dominant white color.
