2019100th Anniversary of Latvian National Armed Forces - Sheetlets

In anticipation of the centenary of the Latvian army, Latvijas Pastshas issued three new stamps depicting the military equipment of the Latvian National Armed Forces for the territorial defence of the land, the sea and the air. The first day cancellation of the stamps is scheduled to take place in Ādaži post office at 11 Gaujas Street, from 9 AM to 6 PM on the 10th of July 2019, the birthday of the Latvian army.

The face value of each new stamp is € 0.50, which corresponds to the cost of sending an ordinary Class B letter within Latvia, while the print run of each individual stamp amounts to 100,000 copies. The release of the stamps is accompanied by a special cover with a print run of 1,000 copies. The new philatelic releases have been designed by the artist Arta Ozola-Jaunarāja.
