About European Nature Protection (Ladybird)
Ladybird (lat. Coccinellidae) belongs to the family of insects, and Adalia bipunctata, Coccinella septempunctata or seven dots ladybird are some of species. Ladybirds eat plant parasites, and her larvaes, whose upgrowts lasts up from 3 to 5 weeks, daily eat 20 to 30 plant parasites. At east cost of Turkey there are predator species of Serangium parcesetosum, which was used for suppressing of pests. Ladybirds live on the leaves of green plants, and in winter we can find them under dry cortex. Only in the middle Europe there are about 80 species of ladybirds. When in danger both larval and adult ladybirds cause "reflex bleeding", to deter feeding. That blood contains toxic substance which deters most of birds and ants.
