About RCC. Shikahogh Reserve
The postage stamp depicts the fragment of Shikahogh Reserve. Shikahogh Reserve is situated in Syunik region, south-eastern slopes of Mount Khushtup, north-eastern slopes of the Meghri ridge as well as upper basins of the Tsav and Shikahogh rivers at altitudes of 700-2800 m. It was established in 1958. The area is about 12137 ha. It was formed having an objective to preserve oak, hornbeam, beech, common yew, plane forests and the fauna.
