About 125 Years of Reading Room in Danilovgrad

The Reading Room was founded in 1889. It had 70 members and adopted rules of operation. The first elected president was duke Risto Bošković, who was a priest, and Periša Radovanović was elected as the librarian. The Reading Room was subscribed to several newspapers and magazines, and had an extensive number of books. The Montenegro Post is publishing a commemorative edition containing a postage stamp and a First Day envelope within the edition “125 Years of the Reading Room in Danilovgrad”. The author of the conceptual design is Marko Zogović, a graphic designer from Podgorica.
