The 31st Olympic Games will be held from August 5th to August 21st, 2016 in Brazil, in Rio de Janeiro. The decision on the host city was made at the 121st IOC Session when Rio de Janeiro beat Madrid, Tokyo and Chicago nominations. This will be the first Olympics in South America and the second in Latin America (after the 1968 Olympics in Mexico City). The Maracanã stadium will host the opening and closing ceremonies of the Olympic Games. All the venues for the Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2016 will be located in four zones: Copacabana, Maracanã, Deodoro and Barra da Tijuca; and Barra da Tijuca will be the location of the Olympic Village. The Montenegro Post is publishing a commemorative postage stamp, a commemorative booklet and a First Day envelope within the edition ”31st Summer Olympics – Rio de Janeiro 2016”. The author of the conceptual design is Đorđije Radević, a graphic designer from Podgorica.
