Christmas in Greenland
The young artist and designer Coco Apunnguaq Lynge has designed this year‘s two Greenlandic Christmas stamps. Of her two evocative Christmas designs, she says: “I have pictured a scene featuring children engaged in different activities in the snow. One design is of two children sledding down a hill with a Christmas tree in the background and a Christmas star in the window. The second design depicts a girl in national dress making a snowman, where you could imagine that she has just been to the church which appears in the background. It is drawn in a children‘s illustration style to accentuate the sugary sweetness of the season and to emphasise that Christmas is part of the children‘s world.” With these two beautiful Christmas stamps created by Coco Apunnguaq Lynge, Tusass Greenland wishes everyone a very Merry Christmas.
