Windows to the soul

The new Christmas stamps are reminiscent of small windows in an Advent calendar. Looking through them reveals a design within the design: idyllic winter landscapes that invite you to pause for a moment.

Landscapes billowing in soft cotton wool, warm lights and starry snow crystals falling slowly from the sky: if you look out of the window in winter, you’ll quite often find a little door – a door to the world of your own thoughts. The new Christmas designs pick up on this special peculiarity of wintertime, with a stylized window in the form of a typical Christmas symbol taking center stage on each stamp.
