About The Little Shoemaker Crypto Stamp

This edition has been realized in cooperation with Croatia film
The Croatian Post presents the sixth Croatian crypto stamp in cooperation with the companies BitX and Marrow Labs. Croatian crypto stamps are envisioned as the perfect combination of the analog and the digital, and this issue is available for purchase at post offices, at epostshop.hr and in the web shop at kripto.posta.hr/marka/v6, where the Croatian Post allows the purchase of crypto stamps with cryptocurrencies. To faithfully transpose collecting into the digital world, crypto stamps have been divided into digital categories, emphasizing distinctiveness and exclusivity. Motifs from the animated film “The Brave Adventures of a Little Shoemaker” appear in five different categories: Black Rat (2,000 copies), Amadeus the Parrot (3,000), Bundaš the Dog (4,000 copies), Little Girl Gita (5,000 copies), Hlapić – the Little Shoemaker (6,000 copies), making a total quantity of 20,000 copies.

The Brave Adventures of a Little Shoemaker
Over a hundred years ago, when the writer Ivana Brlić Mažuranić wrote her novel about Hlapić, the little shoemaker who was as small as a forearm, as cheerful as a bird, as brave as Prince Marko, as wise as a book and as kind as the sun, she had no idea that he, setting out to break in his new boots, would travel around the world.

The little Hlapić, with his honesty, kindness, nobility and wisdom, overcomes evil and wins hearts, together with his brave and cheerful friends – the circus girl Gita, always ready to dance and sing, her cheerful parrot Amadeus and the loyal dog Bundaš, who is Hlapić’s most important companion on his great journey.

On their journey, they encounter the terrifying Black Rat, who is determined to thwart all their plans. He spreads fear and dread wherever he goes, he is a liar and a thief, a bully and a villain, always ready for ill things.

The heroes of this classic of Croatian children’s literature, Hlapić and Gita, gained many fans all around the world when they transitioned into the medium of animated film and embarked on their journey in 1997. Their fellow friends Bundaš and Amadeus accompanied them on their journey. This joyful group of four eventually formed a close-knit group of friends whose adventures we eagerly await and learn from together.

The tiny, but brave shoemaker Hlapić remains a symbol of kindness and honesty as well as an inspiration to others to be just like him, always cheerful, ready to help others and stand up against injustice.

Our Hlapić and his friends will always remind us that kindness finds its way to the heart and that good always wins over evil. Going on seemingly difficult journeys can transform into really brave adventures through which we grow and enrich our knowledge.
