The souvenir sheet is a tribute to the relationship between the younger generation and the institutional life promoted by the Captains Regent of the Republic of San Marino, Filippo Tamagnini and Gaetano Troina, in synergy with the Secretariat of State for Finance and Budget and Poste San Marino Philatelic Numismatic Division. The souvenir sheet leads to Piazza della Libertà, heart of San Marino's historic center overlooked by Palazzo Pubblico, one of the symbols of San Marino's state identity. On the square flows the daily life of people, institutions and young people becoming a place of communication, transit, happenings and growth. The creativity has been entrusted to a young San Marino author, Giulia Galassi, who chooses soft and bright tones to ensure the focus on young people and their complex worlds, possible futures and salient themes of contemporaneity, so that, they themselves, are bearers of rights and duties, as well as strong supporters of absolute freedoms. The subject of this postal issue is a contemporary where the world, into which the younger generations were born, restores wonder and freedom of inspiration, saves the imagination, reminds humanity what are the indispensable freedoms in any democracy, the "right to play" as a basic right, the constant reminder to preserve an edifying critical spirit. The Libertas flag flying over the Piazza encapsulates roots and values and invites a visionary look into the past and the future. The overlook from the balcony of the Most Excellent Captains Regent, the Heads of State of the Republic of San Marino, assumes the desire of closeness from the Institutions with the youth, with the People, the co-participation in the life of the Community in a complex society, the dimension of sharing, the reminder for inclusiveness. With this issue, the art of philately crosses the theme related to the enhancement of the young generations, the dominant focus of the semester of the current Heads of State of the Republic of San Marino.
