About Characters - Gabriel Aragon, 50 Years of TVE Clowns

"On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the first appearance of Gaby, Fofó, and Miliki on TVE, the long-awaited stamp that all fans of "Los Payasos de la Tele" (The TV Clowns) were longing for has been issued: the Gabriel Aragón stamp "GABY".

It is presented in a unique framework, the largest exhibition ever held on the Tele Clowns, curated by Carlos D. Chardí Puchades. Located in the VIP Room of the Tomás y Valiente Art Center at C/ Leganés, 51 in Fuenlabrada (Madrid), where alongside numerous objects from the era, a journey is made from their beginnings, their first films in America, posters, brochures, national and international records, books, magazine covers, games, comics, dolls, and personal items, many of them never before exhibited. Highlighting an exclusive philatelic showcase, where all stamps issued on the Aragón brothers will be displayed. Postmarks, stamps, letters, and related brochures.

Gabriel Aragón Bermúdez "GABY," born in Madrid on July 3, 1920, dedicated his life to making audiences laugh, alongside his brothers Alfonso "FOFÓ" (in 1998) and Emilio "Miliki" (in 2013), both in Spain and in Latin America and the United States. A multifaceted artist in love with life; musician, painter, and writer, he always focused his efforts on family and work, giving the best of himself in every project. All of us who knew them feel happy that this stamp sees the light, completing, along with that of our father and philatelically speaking, the circle of the three brothers who filled homes with smiles and music for several generations of children worldwide who still remember them with affection and emotion.

V.MARIA ARAGÓN JIMÉNEZ "LARA"

The stamp has been created with an illustration by Carlos Miranda.

To conclude, some words from Gabriel Aragón Bermúdez himself, ("Gaby," Memoirs of a Clown):

"I only have to thank all those who, in this world, have applauded me and helped me live, for all of them a respectful and grateful greeting from the very center of the ring of my universe."
