This 2023 the Landscapes series is illustrated with a beautiful illustration dedicated to the footbridge of the expansion of the Ral de la Massana path.
The new pedestrian section rehabilitated on the Camino Ral de la Massana was inaugurated on April 25, 2022. It is the section between the Camino de Les Gravades and the junction between the Camino Real and the Camino de las Barreras de la Massana. This section, which is 264 meters long and 1.85 meters wide, completes the first phase of the Andorra Green Infrastructure Sector Plan (PSIVA).
It is a civil works project with landscape integration that connects the parishes of Andorra la Vella with La Massana and which began in 2006, but of which the last section remained with the placement of a walkway, between the section of the Llop rock and the Les Gravades path. From here, the path will go to the confluence between the Arinsal River and the Valira del Norte and it will be possible to continue towards the Camino Real de Ordino. This path is perfect for a walk. It has no unevenness nor any technical difficulty.
The PSIVA, approved by the Government of Andorra, has wanted to take advantage of the historic royal road and has introduced a maximum of natural elements such as wood on the walkways.
The path network is 25 kilometers long and will become a space for leisure and sustainable movement on foot. Its objective is to promote sustainable mobility, unite urban centers with nature and encourage knowledge of Andorra's landscapes, both among the country's inhabitants and among tourists.
