WHO Sheet
The UN Postal Administration has revived and updated its personalized/customized stamp programme for 2023. A new stamp sheet format has been added, where the ten stamp designs and denominations are fixed but all the rest of the non-stamp area can be customized. This will give the United Nations agencies and member states the opportunity to celebrate anniversaries and achievements using the same United Nations stamps.
This new custom stamp sheet format and UN stamps have been used for the celebration of the World Health Organization 75th Anniversary and for the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) 60th Anniversary, which were both issued in April 2023. The same stamp sheet format will be used in November 2023, for the sheet on the occasion of the UN Climate Change Conference.
Issue Date: 7 April 2023
The issuance of a commemorative stamp will raise awareness of the WHO’s mandate and its achievements, both nationally and internationally. In addition, the stamp will serve as a collectible item for philatelists and supporters of global health. The stamp is a visual lasting tribute to the WHO and its commitment to global health over the last 75 years as well as addressing the global health challenges ahead.
