Latvian Ice Hockey Federation
The Latvian Ice Hockey Federation (Latvian: Latvijas Hokeja federācija, LHF) is the governing body for ice hockey in Latvia. It was founded in 1931 and is a member of the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF). The LHF is responsible for organizing and running the Latvian Hockey Higher League, the Latvian Cup, and the Latvian national ice hockey teams.
The LHF has its headquarters in Riga, Latvia. The current president of the LHF is Guntis Ulmanis.
The LHF has been working hard to promote ice hockey in Latvia. In recent years, the number of ice hockey players in Latvia has increased significantly. The LHF has also been successful in developing the Latvian national ice hockey teams. The men's national team has qualified for the IIHF World Championship several times in recent years, and the women's national team has also made progress.
