Europa - Peace

Jersey is pleased to contribute once again to the annual EUROPA joint stamp theme. For 2023, the theme set by PostEurop is ‘PEACE – The Highest Value of Humanity’.

Jersey Post’s interpretation of this theme is the £1.85 stamp design, which represents the dove of peace. Designed by Jersey artist Ron Mills, the three ideals of love, unity and hope are represented in the design by the hands of a woman, a man and a child, blended to create the shape of a dove.

This year, the Europa joint stamp issue was a competition, with each participating country submitting a design on the theme. For 2023, all Europa stamp issues around the world include the winning design from the competition. Therefore, the 98p stamp is the winning entry in the competition and has been designed by POST Luxembourg artists, Mrs Linda Bos and Mrs Runa Egilsdottir (A Designers Collective).
