The Accession of HM King Charles III and HM Queen Consort Camilla
Isle of Man Stamps and Coins is honoured to recognise the accession and coronation of King Charles III with a set of twelve stamps. Eight of the stamps feature images of HM King Charles III and HM Queen Consort Camilla in a mix of ceremonial events and more social occasions and the three of the four final stamps show portraits of the King by Richard Stone, June Mendoza and Michael Griffiths with the final stamp showing HM the King's cypher.
HM King Charles III ascended to the throne following the death of his month, Queen Elizabeth II, on 8th September 2022 and he will be crowned in the official coronation ceremony on 6th May 2023. The coronation of King Charles III and Queen Consort Camilla will be conducted by the Archbishop of Canterbury and take place at Westminster Abbey.
In this issue we have combined the hopes and prayers of a generation: the King, his Queen Consort, the royal cypher, the life he has lived so far, and His coronation.
