IX DISELLO 2022. 1st PRIZE GENERAL CATEGORY AND 1st PRIZE YOUTH CATEGORY
For the ninth consecutive year, Correos has organized during this year 2022 the National Stamp Design Contest, being its last edition.
The theme has been free, which has encouraged wide participation, reaching more than 1,300 works presented. In addition, the freedom to imagine and capture a concept in a work has increased participation in the general category with more than 900 published works and leaving around 390 works in the youth category.
Design is always a challenge to the imagination, but designing for such a small space that condenses all the information that you want to tell (8 cm2) requires a double effort, which in view of the quality of the works presented, the participants have notably exceeded throughout all the editions of the contest.
The winning stamp in the general category was the one designed by the Valencian Iván Tortajada Estellés, under the title “Green energy”. As the same author has explained about his design: “Development and progress must be sustainable. Let us take advantage of and respect the force of nature”
The winning label in the youth category has been the one designed by Maia Theodora Cretu from Huelva under the title “Niña Robot” which the young author explains as: "It can be interpreted as a criticism of the excessive use of mobile phones by young people."
As in the rest of the editions, the exhibition with the 78 finalists and the two winners will tour the Spanish geography to show all these works that pay tribute to the label.
