Christmas - Gingerbread Man

Especially around Christmastime, colourfully decorated gingerbread cookies are very popular as a sweet treat, and they are easy to make at home.

Gingerbread is usually made with honey and plenty of spices: nutmeg, allspice, cloves, cinnamon, and many other spices make for the typical gingerbread taste. Gingerbread contains very little fat and therefore has a long shelf life.

After baking Christmas-inspired shapes such as stars, gingerbread women and men and Christmas trees, they can be decorated with icing, nuts, or candied fruit. The stamp background shows an old recipe for a gingerbread man.
