A Stamp for Charity - The Estonian Cancer Society

The Estonian Cancer Society was created in 1992 by the Estonian Association of Oncologists.

In its work, the Estonian Cancer Society focuses mainly on the prevention of cancer and detecting the disease early as well as on promoting a healthy lifestyle. Another important focus is improving the quality of life of cancer patients and solving the psycho-social problems related to the disease.

During its 30 years of operation, the Estonian Cancer Society has created a support network of cancer patients all over Estonia, uniting 15 societies and more than 2,000 members. The Cancer Society has organised awareness campaigns, cancer weeks, and scientific conferences. To raise awareness, we have published printed works, produced films and informative clips. The Cancer Society’s mammography bus and mobile diagnostic offices for prostate and skin cancer travel across Estonia, offering the opportunity to check your health even in small towns and rural areas where there are no specialists in the field.
