On March 25 and 26, 2021, the Principality of Andorra received the visit of the King and Queen of Spain in a two-day state visit. First official visit of a monarch of the Kingdom of Spain to Andorra.
The visit of the King and Queen of Spain was motivated by the preparation and celebration of the XXVII Ibero-American Summit of Heads of State and Government, held in Andorra, initially scheduled for 2020 but postponed until April 2021 due to the situation of the pandemic created by the SARS-COV-2.
The king and queen had a tight agenda during their stay, in which they were received by the main authorities of the country and found some of the country's heritage wonders, such as the Casa de la Vall (old parliament), the Espai Columba or the Casa d 'Areny-Plandolit. L
In the Casa de la Vall, where the official reception by the Co-Prince of Andorra and Archbishop and the representative of the President of the French Republic took place. After saluting the flag, Their Majesties the King and Queen were welcomed by the Cap de Govern of Andorrat, and by the Síndica General of Andorra, and the National Anthems of Spain and Andorra were interpreted.
