For the eighth consecutive year Correos has organized during this eventful year 2021 the National Stamp Design Contest with a wide participation reaching 1,041 people. On this occasion, the participation in the youth category has increased due to the higher attendance in schools, reaching 425 participants.

This 2021 the theme of the works had the motto: 'A seal for those who care for us'. The aim is to encourage participants to express through a stamp their gratitude and tribute to all those people who have taken care of society day by day, especially in crises such as Covid-19.
The design is always a challenge to the imagination, but designing for such a small space and that condenses all the information you want to tell (8 cm2) requires a double effort, which in view of the quality of the works submitted, the participants have exceeded remarkably, showing a variety of perspectives of how we see and are living the pandemic and its struggle to win the battle.
The winning stamp in the youth category was designed by Jessica Yance Vargas under the title "United against the virus" with a design showing 6 joined hands of different health and security agents, those who have watched and continue to watch over the citizens more than ever since the beginning of the pandemic, as the author herself explains: ''I have been inspired by how collectives together can counteract covid19''.
