We are delighted to mark the occasion of The Queen’s 95th birthday with commemorative stamps depicting aspects of Her Majesty’s life.
In celebration of this wonderful occasion, we look back over Her Majesty’s life and her devotion to a life of service: from her early years as a young Princess, to becoming the longest reigning monarch in British history, and a much loved and respected figure across the globe.
This special issue, Devoted to your Service, is a collaboration between 11 postal administrations, which sees four Crown Dependencies – Guernsey, Jersey, the Isle of Man and Gibraltar – become part of a co-ordinated collection undertaken by Creative Direction (Worldwide) Ltd, which manages the stamp design and print programme for seven overseas territories - the Falkland Islands, British Virgin Islands, British Antarctic Territory, Ascension Island, The Bahamas, South Georgia and South Sandwich Islands, and Tristian da Cunha.
Each of the Crown Dependencies and overseas territories have produced commemorative stamps bearing the same titles – Princess, Coronation, Marriage, Leisure, Pageantry and Royal Duty – although each feature different images of Her Majesty on these themes.
We are delighted that our stamp entitled ‘Princess’, depicting ten-year-old Princess Elizabeth and her corgi Dookie, is one of 11 stamps to feature on a joint Sheetlet.
The stamps will be issued on 21 April 2021, The Queen’s actual birthday.
