50th Anniversary of the Moon Landings
About 50th Anniversary of the Moon Landings
We are absolutely delighted to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the moon landings on July 20 1969, when American astronauts Neil Armstrong, Michael Collins and Edwin "Buzz" Aldrin became the first people ever to land on the moon.
The Apollo 11 launched from Cape Kennedy, the eight day mission took the crew on a 935,000 mile journey to another world. An estimated 530 million people watched the televised image and heard Armstrong's words as he became the first human to set foot on the moon.
