About 200 Years from the Birth of Frederic Chopin Publish

Frederic Francois Chopin, one of the most prominent and the most important pianists and composers, was born on March 1st 1810 near Warsaw. When he was seven, he composed two music works, two polonaises, and when he was eight he held a concert. He was known as "another Mozart". His first piano concert, opus 21 in f-mol, he performed for the first time in Warsaw in November 1829, and the second, opus 21 in e-mol, he performed in March 1830 in National Theatre in Warsaw. When the revolution in Warsaw against Russian invader started, Chopin was in Vienna and he was disturbed by this information. He wanted to return to his homeland, but his friends persuaded him not to do so. Instead, he moves to Paris. Some of his friends were musicians Franc List, Hector Berlioz, Felix Mendelssohn, Robert Shuman and Vincenzo Bellini (whose grave was next to Chopin's), painter Eugene Delacroix and writers Honore de Balzak and George Sand, who was his mistress. He performed many concerts in Paris.

He was the first western composer who brought elements of Slavonic music into classic music. Except some orchestra and sacred works, seventeen Polish songs for voice and piano, Chopin composed only piano music which was enriched by new emphatic resources. He left opus of 74 printed works that were peerless in European music. One group of Chopin's works consists of collection of polonaises, mazurka, waltz, with deep content. Chopin gave his contribution to creation of new types of big forms-ballads, fantasies. Etida, which was for Chopin instructive composition, used in the piano classes for solving certain technical problem, in his hands it becomes concert piece. Two piano concerts and one ballet suite Silfide, were the only works where he used orchestra.

Short time before he died, Chopin was persuaded to go to the tour in England. Humid climate negatively influenced to Chopin, because he had tuberculosis. He died shortly after he arrived to Paris, in October 17th 1849, with his friends and his sister. He was buried in Paris, and his heart was carried to the Church of Saint Cross in Warsaw, because that was his wish. Funeral was delayed almost two weeks because Chopin wanted Mozart's requiem with women voices, something that Church Madeleine never approved in the past.
