Authority institutions in B&H are conducting in great numbers reforms of political and economical system, whose goal is to build a market and civilian society and to join to European Union.
As a result of these reforms, B&H marks gradually improvement of business conditions of economical subject. Especial attention of the bearer of economical policy is devoted to attraction of foreign and stimulation of domestic investments. Although economic recover is slow, the improvement of business environment is getting better, which lead to significant increase of foreign investment in B&H.
Aware of significant investment in total economic recovery of the country, Presidentship of B&H decided to organize International Conference about investment in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Possibilities for profitable investment in B&H are big, for many people unknown, so through this Conference we want to introduce them to domestic and foreign investors. Believing how B&H deserve better image in the world, authority institutions has obligation to create business surroundings which will be stimulating for domestic and foreign investors.
Sign for that kind of designation is two-day Conference about investment in B&H, which will take part in Mostar from 26th to 27th February 2004. This Conference has international meaning and we believe that the representatives of many foreign companies, ambassade, business associations and other institutions, which promote and stimulate economical growth and development will be attending it.
By support of Presidentship of B&H, as organizer, Conference has full support of Council of Ministers of B&H, the government of B&H and the government of Serbian Republic, as the other relevant institutions in the country. The World Bank, USAID, European Bank for reparation and development, European Investment Bank, The Office of High Representative for B&H (OHR), and many diplomatic – consular representatives in B&H gave their support for this Conference. From Conference, Bosnia and Herzegovina and their people and citizens expect much. They expect improvement of image, which B&H has in the world, the creation of the environment attracted for many foreign investors as a prerequisite of economical development in the next period, and what is one of the top-level priority of all authority institutions in B&H.
