High mountains of Herzegovina, especially Čvrsnica, Vran, Plasa i Čabulja are a junction of numerous endemic plants, whether it is about stenoendemic plants (plants being present only on some of those mountains) or Dinaric endemic plants (endemic plants being present on a broader area of the Dinarides). Those mountains can be named the center for preservation, formation and relocation of many endemic plants. A specific position and influence of the Mediterranean climate favor developing of variety of flora.

Dinaric chickweed (Cerastium dinaricum) is an endemic species of the Balkan Peninsula with a hub of spreading over the Dinarides. It grows on carbonate rock creeps and loose rocks. The plant grows up to 15 cm and its blossoming period is from July to August.
Kerner’s poppy (Papaver kerneri) is endemic plant of the Eastern Alps and Dinarides. It was named after the Austrian florist A.J. Kerner. It has the thickest grow on the Alpine and Sub-Alpine limestone rock creeps. It sprouts from 10 to 20 cm and blossoms from June to August.
