About FIFA World Cup in Germany

This year's World Cup FIFA 2006 will be held in Germany from June 6th to July 9th 2006. Alongside the hosts, 31 other teams will take compete in this big world championship. 64 matches will be played on 12 stadia in 12 different cities - Hamburg, Hanover, Berlin, Gelsenkirchen, Dortmund, Leipzig, Cologne, Frankfurt, Kaiserslautem, Nuremberg, Stuttgart and Munich. The opening match will kick off in Munich. After four exciting weeks, the final will be held in Berlin's Olympiastadion. We decided to use the images of our two most prominent players in the history of Montenegrin football - Dejan Savicevc and Predrag Mijatovic. PREDRAG PEDJA MIJATOVIC was born in Podgorica, on January 19th, 1969. He began his football career in OFK Titograd (1985-1986), and after thai he became a member of Buducnost, where he was a standard first division player. After that he moved to Belgrade and became a player of Partizan. His good games recommended him for an international scene, so he began playing for Valencia in 1993. Three years later he started to play for Real from Madrid and he wore the colours of the Royal club until 1999 and won the European Champions' Cup with it. He also played for Florentina (1999-2002) and for Levante (2002-2004).

He played 73 matches for the nationalt eam of Yuqostavta. scored 26 goals and was a captain of the national team for 39 times. As a player of junior national team, he won Youth World Championship in Chile, in 1987. DEJAN SAVICEVIC was born in Podgorica, on September 15th, 1966. Like Mijatovic, he began his career in OFK Titograd and after that he became a member of 8uduCnost. He wore the colours of that club for five seasons and after 130 official matches he moved to Belgrade and became a player of Crvena Zvezda. For four years, the period he played in red and white shirt, he won three national titles, European Cup and Intercontinental Cup. After that he joined Milan, (1992-1998). With the Italian team he won numerous trophies, among which is the European Cup in 1994. He ended his career in Rapid from Vienna in 2001 . For Yugoslav national team he played 56 matches and scored 19 goals. He stayed in football even after he ended his career as an active player. He is now the chairman of the Montenegrin Football Association.
