Lithuania is a land of green plains situated in the Northern Europe. This is a country having preserved many pristine nature landscapes, forests, lakes and rivers and being proud of a distinctive seaside with sandy beaches and the Curonian Spit – an elongated sand dune peninsula separating the Curonian Lagoon from the Baltic Sea. The beauty of our land is outstanding: one can see small hills and gently rolling green plains, slow-moving rivers, roofs of randomly scattered homesteads, and small towns. The people in these small towns are the same: hardworking and patient, honest and hospitable, jointly cherishing the past of the country, creating the present, and thinking of the future.
