About Children’s World - Pets

DOMESTIC CAT - We see it everywhere: in houses and apartments, in our and other people’s courtyards, in bushes, on trees, on lawns, in fields and on roads – shortly, everywhere where animals should and should not be found. For domestic cats there are rarely any natural barriers and places they can not reach.

RAGDOLL CAT - English word ragdoll translated into Croatian language means a doll made of rags. This cat derives its name from the fact that it fully relaxes - like a rag doll - when it is taken in hands. To its name also contribute that cat’s gentle temperament and nature.

PERSIAN CAT - It is believed that first long-haired cats arrived to Europe at the beginning of the 17th century with caravans from Persia (Iran) and Turkey. So, the Italian Della Valle (1586 – 1652) was the first to describe the long-haired cats which he saw in Russia and Afghanistan.

SIAMESE CAT - First record and drawings of the Siamese cat date from about 1350. Most fascinating on these cats are eyes. They are not too big, they are almond shaped, slightly slanted toward nose and intensively blue.
