About Camilo Castelo Branco
Camilo Castelo Branco (1825–1890) was a famous Portuguese writer, known for his romantic and dramatic novels. His most famous work is Amor de Perdição (Love of Perdition), a tragic love story often compared to Romeo and Juliet. He led a turbulent life, full of passion, scandals, and even imprisonment. Despite hardships, he wrote over 260 books, making him one of Portugal's greatest writers.
